Who can apply?

Australian residents aged 18 or over who: 

  • Are current MyRYOBI members and continue to be MyRYOBI members until they have submitted their review of the Review Product;
  • Receive an email from the Program Operator inviting them to apply for the Program (Invitation Email);
  • Have access and the ability to mow the lawn you described in the application before the Review Deadline; and
  • Have the necessary skills or are willing to develop the necessary skills to safely use the Review Product for its intended purpose.
What do I need to do to apply?

To apply to become a Participant in the Program, you must:

  • Follow the link to the application form found in the Invitation Email sent by the Program Operator; and
  • Complete and submit the application form by the Application Deadline.
What do I need to do if my application to participate in the Program is accepted?

If your application to participate in the Program is accepted, you are required to:

  • Receive delivery of the Product (someone over the age of 18 is required to sign for delivery);
  • Test the Product on the lawn described in the application; and
  • Submit an honest and genuine review of the Product via the Review Invitation Email sent by the Program Operator by the Review Deadline.
How many applications can I submit?You may only submit one (1) application.
How are Participants chosen?The Program Operator will review all applications and select Participants based on the suitability of the Review Product for their lawn conditions. Chance plays no part in the selection process. All decisions are final.
When will Participants be chosen and informed?Participants will be chosen and informed of their successful application by email by 25/06/2026.
What product will I receive to review?The selected Participants will receive one RYOBI 36V 46cm Lawn Mower 4 Ah Kit (R36LMW34) which has a recommended retail price of $499 (Review Product).
Collection and use of your personal information

If your application to participate in the Program is successful, you consent to the Program Operator using your name and image in any promotional or advertising activity. 

The Program Operator may collect your personal information directly or through the Program Operator's agents or contractors. The Program Operator will use your personal information to conduct and manage the Program. The Program Operator may disclose your personal information to the Program Operator's related companies, agents and contractors to assist in conducting this Program, communicating with you or storing data. This may include disclosures to organisations outside Australia including in places such as New Zealand, the Philippines and the United States of America. 

Where you have opted-in to receive marketing from the Program Operator via your MyRYOBI Account, you consent to the Program Operator keeping your personal information on its database to use for future marketing purposes, including contacting you by electronic messaging provided that where required by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth), the Program Operator includes a functional unsubscribe facility in each direct marketing communication it sends you so that you may use to opt-out of any further such communications and the functional unsubscribe facility complies with the Spam Regulations 2021 (Cth). 

By entering, you consent to receive email or SMS messages from the Program Operator without any functional unsubscribe facility if they relate primarily to the conduct of this Program. 

The Program Operator’s Privacy Policy (see https://www.ryobi.com.au/privacy-policy) includes information about: 

  1. how you can seek access to the personal information the Program Operator holds and seek the correction of such information; and 
  2. how to complain about a privacy breach and how the Program Operator will deal with such a complaint.

 

  1. These Terms and Conditions incorporate and must be read together with the details outlined in the table above. Information about the Review Product and how to apply forms part of these Terms and Conditions. By submitting an application, you accept these Terms and Conditions. 

Submitting an Application

  1. Your application must be received before the Application Deadline and will be deemed to be received only when received by the Program Operator. The Program Operator is not liable for any problems with communications networks outside its reasonable control. You are responsible for your own costs associated with entering. If you enter using automatically generated entries or multiple phone numbers/email addresses/addresses/aliases, you may be disqualified. 

Review Product

  1. The Review Product and all elements of the Review Product must be taken as specified, as and when offered and cannot be altered or changed in any way by you or will be forfeited, and if forfeited, the Program Operator will not be liable. If you forfeit the Review Product or any element of the Review Product for whatever reason, you will not be given cash or any alternative Review Product as a substitute. Review Product/s are subject to any additional terms and conditions imposed by the relevant supplier or the Program Operator, including validity period/s.
  2. You are responsible for all other unspecified costs related to the Review Product, including insurance (including excesses), installation costs, or any other costs associated with ongoing use of the Review Product, etc.
  3. The Program Operator is not responsible for any dispute between you and any person with whom you choose to, or choose not to, share a Review Product. 

Testing & Reviewing the Review Product 

  1. You understand, acknowledge and agree that:
    1. by submitting an application to participate in the Program you are required to test the Review Product and then submit a Review via the Review Invitation Email by the Review Deadline;
    2. you will test and continue to use the Review Product with all due care and skill, using all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); and
    3. The review you submit as part of the Program will be your honest and genuine feedback about the Review Product and your experience of testing it and will not contain any offensive, defamatory or infringing content. All reviews will be made publicly available on the relevant product page of the RYOBI Australia website.
  2. If you decide to share about the Review Product or your experience taking part in the Program on social media you will follow the platform specific requirements to disclose that the Review Product was provided free of charge. 

General 

  1. Any material failure by you to comply with the conditions imposed by the Review Product supplier(s) may result in the Review Product being cancelled or withdrawn without liability for the Program Operator or the Review Product supplier(s).
  2. You must, if required by the Program Operator, sign disclaimer and release forms provided by the Program Operator in favour of the Program Operator and other parties before taking the Review Product. If you do not sign, your application will be deemed invalid and you will lose any entitlement to a Review Product.
  3. If you or your application are deemed by the Program Operator to breach these Terms and Conditions materially your application may be discarded. The Program Operator may, at any time, require you to produce documentation to establish to the Program Operator's reasonable satisfaction the validity of your application and/or verifying your identity (including documentation establishing your identity, age, place of residence and place of employment). Failure by the Program Operator to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not waive those rights.
  4. You must not:
    1. tamper with the application process (including but not limited to manipulating the system via bots, script use, or any other means to circumvent the application process);
    2. engage in any conduct that may jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Program;
    3. act in a disruptive, annoying, threatening, abusive or harassing manner;
    4. do anything that may diminish the good name or reputation of the Program Operator or any of its related entities or of the agencies or companies associated with this Program;
    5. breach any law; or
    6. behave in a way that is otherwise inappropriate.
  5. If you in the reasonable opinion of the Program Operator (and/or a medical professional, as relevant to the circumstances), behave aggressively or offensively, or behave in a manner which may diminish the good name or reputation of the Program Operator or any of its related entities or the agencies or companies associated with this Program, is contrary to law or is otherwise inappropriate, the Program Operator may cancel the Review Product or restrict you from participating in any elements of the Program, at its discretion.
  6. The Program Operator is not liable for applications, Review Product claims or correspondence that are misplaced, misdirected, delayed, lost, incomplete, illegible or incorrectly submitted for reasons outside the Program Operator's reasonable control, including failure of any third parties to forward applications, where relevant.
  7. If any dispute arises between you and the Program Operator concerning the conduct of this Program or receiving a Review Product, the Program Operator will take reasonable steps to consider your point of view, taking into account any facts or evidence you put forward, and to respond to it fairly within a reasonable time. In all other respects, the Program Operator’s decision in connection with all aspects of this Program is final.
  8. Review Products cannot be transferred or exchanged nor redeemed for cash. Without limiting any other term of these Terms and Conditions, all Review Products (and elements of Review Products) must be taken as and when specified, or will be forfeited with no replacement. The Review Product values are correct as at the date of preparing these Terms and Conditions and include any applicable GST. The Program Operator is not responsible for any change in Review Product value. You agree that if a Review Product (or element of a Review Product) is unavailable for any reason the Program Operator may provide another item of equal or higher value.
  9. If this Program cannot run as planned for any reason beyond the Program Operator's control (for example due to software, hardware or communications issues, unauthorised intervention, tampering, fraud or technical failure, government directives, a pandemic, public health orders and the like), the Program Operator may end, change, suspend or cancel the Program or disqualify affected applications/applicants, subject to any necessary approval by any authorities.
  10. The Program Operator is not responsible for any tax implications arising from you receiving a Review Product. You should seek independent financial advice. If for GST purposes this Program results in any supply being made for non-monetary consideration, you must follow the Australian Taxation Office’s stated view that where the parties are at arm’s length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market values.
  11. The laws of Victoria, Australia apply to this Program to the exclusion of any other law. Persons submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia. 

Liability 

  1. You may have consumer rights under statute including under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), which may be relevant to any issue or problem you encounter in relation to this Program and cannot be excluded or restricted. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or restricts those rights. See www.accc.gov.au for more information about those rights.
  2. Subject to the previous paragraph, the Program Operator and the agencies and companies associated with this Program are not liable (including in negligence) for any loss (including indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury (including allergies, skin conditions or other reactions, as relevant), illness or death suffered in connection with this Program or any Review Product, except for any liability which under statute cannot be excluded (in which case that liability is limited to the greatest extent allowed by law).
  3. Without limiting the previous paragraphs, the Program Operator and the agencies and companies associated with this Program are not liable for any loss of, damage to or delay in delivery of Review Product/s, or for any damage that occurs to displayed Review Product/s (where relevant), due to circumstances beyond the Program Operator's reasonable control. Unless otherwise specified, Review Product/s will only be delivered to addresses in Australia.
