All ONE+, 36V and 12V tools are now eligible for a 6 year replacement warranty with registration.

*Standard 4 year warranty, with an additional 2 year warranty available subject to online registration via ryobi.com.au. All batteries have a 3 year warranty only.

All corded tools are now eligible for a 4 year replacement warranty.

Once you’ve got your MY RYOBI account set up, you’ll be able to log in and register as many tools as you like.


Some useful things to remember when registering your tools

Registration header 1

While you've got the kettle on, get your tools within reach.

You will need to know the model number and the serial number for each tool.

Registration header 3

A valid proof of purchase is required for tool registration. A photo of your Bunnings receipt is all that is needed.

You can use the same receipt to register multiple tools that were purchased at the same time.

Registration header 2

For extended warranty*, tools must be registered online within 30 days of date of purchase.

Applicable only to products purchased after 1st June 2017.

How do I create a MY RYOBI account?
To create a MY RYOBI account, go to ryobi.com.au/myryobi or https://my.ryobi.co.nz and fill in some basic personal details. An email will be sent to verify your email address, once you have verified the email you will be able to access MY RYOBI to log in and register as many tools as you like.
Which tools are eligible for the extended warranty?
All RYOBI cordless power tools – ONE+, 36V and 12V skins – are eligible for a standard 4 year replacement warranty. In order to be eligible for an additional 2 year extended warranty, these cordless power tools need to be purchased from Bunnings after 1st June 2017, and registered on a MY RYOBI account with a valid proof of purchase within 30 days of the purchase date.
I bought RYOBI tools before 1st June 2017, are they eligible for the extended warranty?
Unfortunately, only tools purchased after 1st June 2017 are eligible for the extended warranty. Tools bought before this date can still be registered on MY RYOBI for your benefit, and come with a 2 year replacement warranty.
Where can I make a warranty claim?
All warranty claims can be made at your local Bunnings store or contact customer service on 1300 MY RYOBI (1 300 697 9624).
What is a valid proof of purchase?

A valid proof of purchase is a photo (jpg, gif, png or PDF) of your original Bunnings receipt where the date of purchase, location and tool details are visible in the same photo. For long receipts, it is advisable to fold the receipt to display these.

If your tool was purchased somewhere other than Bunnings, then a photo of the receipt can still be uploaded when registering, but the tool will not be eligible for an extended warranty.

Why do I need to provide a serial number?
A serial number is provided to identify your exact tool in the event of a warranty claim or theft.
Where can I find the model number of my tool?

The place to look for your model number is the rating plate on your tool. The rating plate location varies depending on which tool you have.

The model number is always in the top right of this plate and begins with an alphabet.

When registering your tool, for the serial number please include numbers indicated in the white or silver area SER NO/S NO followed by the digits in the W and Y section.

Can I add older tools to MY RYOBI toolbag?
Yes, you can. Older tools, even those that are outside of their warranty, can be registered on your MY RYOBI account, so you can have your whole tool shed logged in the one place for your convenience.
I purchased my tool from somewhere other than Bunnings, can I still register it?
Yes, you can still register your RYOBI tool, but it will not be eligible for the extended warranty. Depending on when and where you purchased the tool, the relevant standard warranty may or may not apply, please call us on 1300 MY RYOBI (1300 697 9624) for specific advice or refer to terms & conditions.
I registered my tool and have not received an extended warranty.
RYOBI offers an extended 2 year warranty on Cordless power tools – ONE+, 36V and 12V tools along with a standard 4 year replacement warranty, provided they are:
  • Purchased from Bunnings after 1st June 2017
  • and registered on a MY RYOBI account with a valid Bunnings receipt within 30 days of the purchase date.

If you have registered a cordless power tool from the ONE+, 36V or 12V range which meets the above criteria and not received an extended warranty, please contact our customer service team on AUS 1300 MY RYOBI (1300 697 9624) or NZ 0508 MY RYOBI (0508 697 9624).

I registered my tool and have not received any warranty?

RYOBI offers the following schedule of warranty for tools bought from Bunnings with a valid proof of purchase. Where extended warranty is applicable, the tool must be registered to a MY RYOBI account within 30 days of purchase. Unfortunately, tools not purchased from Bunnings do not qualify for a standard warranty or extended warranty.
