How to Register

Creating a My RYOBI account and registering your tools is EASY.

To begin with, you'll need to sign-up for a My RYOBI account with some basic personal details.

Once you’ve got your My RYOBI account set-up, you’ll be able to log-in and register as many tools as you like.

  • You will need to know the model number and the serial number for each tool.
  • A valid proof of purchase is required for tool registration. A photo of your Bunnings receipt is all that is needed.

Warranty

Thank you for choosing RYOBI! As of 1st June 2017, we offer a 4-year standard warranty, with an option to extend for an additional 2 years when you register your product at My RYOBI within 30 days of purchase.

    To create a MY RYOBI account, go to https://my.ryobi.com.au or https://my.ryobi.co.nz and fill in some basic personal details. An email will be sent to verify your email address, once you have verified the email you will be able to access MY RYOBI to log in and register as many tools as you like.

    Yes, you can still register your RYOBI tool, but it will not be eligible for the extended warranty. Depending on when and where you purchased the tool, the relevant standard warranty may or may not apply, please call us on AUS 1300 MY RYOBI (1300 697 9624) or NZ 0508 MY RYOBI (0508 697 9624) for specific advice or refer to terms & conditions.

    No, your account will remain. Please log-in as per usual. There is nothing additional you need to do.

    The program provides an enhanced product experience through friendly advice and help with assembly, how-to videos and maintenance tips, ensuring you get the most out of your RYOBI product.     The program does not currently offer points or tiers.

    Unfortunately, only tools purchased after 1 June 2017 are eligible for the extended warranty. Tools bought before this date can still be registered on MY RYOBI for your benefit and come with a 2-year replacement warranty from the date of purchase.

    RYOBI offers an extended 2-year warranty on Cordless power tools – ONE+, 36V and 12V tools along with a standard 4-year replacement warranty, provided they are:
    1. Purchased from Bunnings after 1 June 2017
    2. and registered on a MY RYOBI account with a valid Bunnings receipt within 30 days of the purchase date.

    If you have registered a cordless power tool from the ONE+, 36V or 12V range which meets the above criteria and not received an extended warranty, please contact our customer service team on AUS 1300 MY RYOBI (1300 697 9624) or NZ 0508 MY RYOBI (0508 697 9624).

    Yes, you can. Older tools, even those that are outside of their warranty, can be registered in your My Tool Bag, so you can have your whole tool shed logged in the one place for your convenience.

    A valid proof of purchase is a photo (jpg, gif, png or PDF) of your original Bunnings receipt where the date of purchase, location and tool details are visible in the same photo. For long receipts, it is advisable to fold the receipt to display these. If your tool was purchased somewhere other than Bunnings, then a photo of the receipt can still be uploaded when registering, but the tool will not be eligible for an extended warranty.

    The place to look for your model number is the rating plate on your tool. The rating plate location varies depending on which tool you have. The model number is always in the top right of this plate and begins with a letter, ie: R.

When registering your tool, for the serial number please include numbers indicated in the white or silver area SER NO/S NO followed by the digits in the W and Y section.

    All RYOBI cordless power tools – ONE+, 36V and 12V skins – are eligible for a standard 4-year replacement warranty. In order to be eligible for an additional 2-year extended warranty, these cordless power tools need to be purchased from Bunnings after 1 June 2017, and registered on a MY RYOBI account with a valid proof of purchase within 30 days of the purchase date.

    A serial number is provided to identify your exact tool in the event of a warranty claim or theft.

    All warranty claims can be made at your local Bunnings by returning your product along with Bunnings receipt.
